Running the CI-V test program

At first unpack the file CIV_Test_Prog_E.zip in a new folder.

If you now start the program ‘CIV_Test_Prog_E.exe’, it is possible, that an error occurs. The number of COM port is set ‘5’. If this number of comport is not available or used in your system this error message will be shown:

Click on OK button. Then click on the field ‘Number of COM port’ and set the correct number. After this, you can also chance the ‘Baudrate’ to the wanted rate.

After this, click to the field ‘Send command with ‘ENTER’’.

If the COM port is available and not used from another program, the window will change to the following:

If ‘Com open’ (green) is shown, then you can enter commands. For a test enter a command. After entering, press the ENTER key. The following picture shows a command and the answer (00 09) of the IC-910:

If you want to change the Baudrate or number of COM port and click to one of this fields, the comport will be closed! After changing a value and then click to the field ‘Send command’, the comport will open with new parameters – if possible, otherwise you get an error message.

If you close the program, the setting parameters and the position of the window will be saved to the file ‘CIV.ini’. If you start the program again, these parameters will be used.
